Good location (5-minute walk from the cathedral but away from the hustle & bustle of the old & new towns), decent price, great atmosphere that includes both pilgrims and travelers, very warm, helpful staff who speak English & Spanish, tasty and inexpensive food at the hostel’s bar, free wifi, clean private bathrooms, nice terrace/backyard when it wasn’t raining
The one-way street it’s off of is really busy which is annoying when trying to cross the road or go to sleep, sometimes the wifi randomly stopped working

Extra blankets were fabulous as was the public relaxation spaces, including the garden. Staff is very kind as well.
There were multiple toddlers in shared dorm style rooms. Not okay. The hostel slai advertises as an albergue for pilgrims to Santiago but its just another hostel.
The hotel is so close to old-santiago and train station. The staff is so friendly and helpful. If you dont mind sharing your room with somebody or coming as a group, it's the best hotel. They have lockers and wifi for free. The bathrooms are clean.
There is nothing I didnt like but santiago is so cold. You can take extra blanket but because the reception is close after 9pm, there is no hot beverage or medicine until the morning. So be prepared.

I have to say that my experience with this hostel was very positive. There is nice guy caring about the hostel and more there is a nice garden where you can find also in small stone house a separated kitchen. Futhermore in the morning the cock will wake you up:))
