It's cheap! We really liked the interior of this old building. Nice ceiling, nice tiling. Almost antique ;) And a clean (shared) bathroom! The staff is friendly. Location is excellent. -

There are only 25 rooms in this hotel, so the service was superb. We were addressed on a first-name basis by the staff (great job Javier, Wim, and Ignacio!) We felt extremely welcome and appreciated. The location was unbeatable - 2 minutes to Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. Rooms were comfortable, efficient, and sleekly designed - and the extra "salon" was a bonus. We also enjoyed the 24-hour complimentary cafe and the personalized breakfast.

Wonderful stay. Central location in the beautiful and charismatic Gothic quarter, walking distance to Las Ramblas and the beach.Very friendly owners, provided with useful information and map. Also requested flight details so could greet us when we arrived, and provided very useful directions and map from Airport. Also free Wifi. Would highly recommend Mapamundo, thanks for a loverly hostel.

The garden is a nice place to take a drink in the evening, the rooms looks very fancy, and the bathroom was perfect with a big massaging shower. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was an awesome stay! The staff really care about what you're up to each day and that you're enjoying the city. In fact after I arrived and dropped off my bags and the gentleman working came running out and said 'where are you going today!' And he helped orientate me to the city awesome!!. The kitchen good facilities good internet cleans area shower and bath, thanks for your help when i lost my bags!!
