  Central position was superb for bars and restaurants and proximity to Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor and important sites, and only a few minutes walk from the metro at Sol or Sevilla. The rooms were spotlessly clean and modern, evidently very new. The shower was something you would expect to see in a 5 star hotel (although the shower cubicle was p... hva folk sier » erhaps a little small to really appreciate it!). I would never have expected to find a largish flat screen TV, quiet and efficient aircon, fridge, hai - You can't beat the location. And while no hotel costing less than a fortune is totally quiet, I was pleasantly surprised at how relatively peaceful Madrid City Rooms was. The double windows did not block out all of the cacaphony outside, but they did a much better job dampening it than I expected. The man at reception was very friendly, and anyone with even a little Spanish language ability will appreciate his warm personality. Don't be put off by the rooms with their bathrooms down the hall...

  the staff was really helpful and the hostal very conveniently located! The room was cleaned everyday. - The staff were excellent, helpful and very friendly. I stayed for 2nights with my 20 year daughter and 19 year old son in one room to keepthe costs down.   I can't fault the stay we had. Staff are uber friendly and very helpful. The location is brilliant and in walking distance to everything.
