We were happily surprised. It is a low profile hotel. No grand entrance, but home like. The room was spacious, clean, newly styled, comfortable with a wonderful balcony view of the city. The hotel is about a block away from a beautiful archway and walkway, not covered on the bus tours. The neigherhood is safe and there is life going on up until 2:00 a.m., but it does not disturb the guests. We loved it. This hotel can accomodate those with who walk with a cane/walker. This boutique lived up to all my expectations from reading the reviews. It's within walking distance from Catalunya square (where a bus runs from the airport every 10-20 minutes for only about 6 euro a person) and the staff are beyond excellent. The hotel appears to be residential apartments that have just been renovated to a very high grade 'Art Deco' standard. The room was large with a very high ceiling and nicely appointed and the bathroom good and brightly tiled. Our room had large old doors that opened to a balcony on the street....very nice. The staff were exceptionally helpful with suggestions about sightseeing and restaurants , and helped greatly in receiving/printing and sending some unexpected business e-mails for me. Brea

First we came there was a lady in the reception who was not really friendly, but then we met another lady who was super friendly, she showed us everything and was really helpful, our room was very nice, cosy, it was a bit loud because the room was near the road and on the 1st floor, but it was not a problem for us, there is a nice kitchen you can make some food, tea or coffee, very convinient. Very nice hotel , with friendly personal. Everything is renovated, comfortable and stylish.
Location is very good especially when coming from the airport (train station is just 1 minute from the hotel) . Area is good as well, we could walk to the beach (30-45 minutes).
We will definitely come back!

You get what you pay for and this was very inexpensive. All I needed was a bed and an en suite with shower as I was attending a conference and eating out at night. I got exactly what I paid for. I could have stayed at the renaissance which was 9 times the price but why bother as I never use the facilities

Lovely architecture, marble winding staircase and old wooden doors, clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. TV on the wall. Lots of information available about Barcelona. Shared bathroom wasn't such an issue for a short stay (1 night).

The hotel it is in walking distance off all the turistic attractions of Barcelona.
I consider this aspect as the best feature of this hotel.
The room was very clean, we had private bathroom and a balcony.
On all the streets surrounding the hotel there are restaurants, bars and shops.
The metro stop is at only 2 min walking distance.
After chek-out they permitted us to use their luggage storage room for the entire day.
Wi-Fi connection in the room was great.
