The positive thing is transport is just near meaning local taxis without a hassle in just few seconds. The friendly staff of Albany hotel always available to assist with a smile.   Although its in the city, you don't get to hear to city noise and the views from the hotel are very nice - From arrival to departure, we were made to feel that we were guests and not just people to fill rooms. We would stay there again when next we visit Durban.

  I stayed at the Tropicana in December 2010 and was not impressed at all. During my last stay I notced a remarkable improvement, i.e refurbishment, staff, etc. Well done! - The fact that it is on the beach front and our bus just dropped us at the door, that was awesome. Value for money as well.

The design and re-use of an old building is such a clever idea and most pleasing to the eye. The chef at breakfast as well as supper and presentation was excellent. In fact, we would like to rebook at the end of April again. - The venue is situated at the habour, so we could view the activities of the harbour which was interesting. The venue is also very peaceful and quite, so if you want to relax, away from the "city in the city", this is ideal. We also loved the lounge area outside in the courtyard, so if you want to have your meal or drinks outside the restaurant, it makes it an excellent option.
