- Nicely run with friendly owners. Very helpful and knowledgable about the local area. Rooms were very clean with the convenience of your own entrance to rooms to enable you to come and go as you please. I would not hesitate to return or recommend to a friend.

I stayed at Mountview for 6 nights and my experience was very positive. Joe sat down with me for 30 minutes on the first day and explained about the tours, local stores, safety and all other questions I had knowing that it was my first time in Cape Town. The hotel was kept clean at all times and I had no troubles by commuting to the hotel alone. Also staying at Sea Point (quite neighborhood in a shadow of hill and 5 minute walk to the ocean breath) was exactly what I was looking for in this

The manager who went out of his way to make our stay more comfortable by providing an extra room. The hotel is full of character and beautiful - rooms are comfortable and equipped with everything you could need including bottled water. The breakfast was full of variety and delicious. I liked the relaxed ambience ~ it was like travelling back to my younger pre-digital era days ~ I could see Hemingway deciding to write a novel there and enjoying it ~ that said, I appreciated the free wifi facility.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Although I had to leave at 4am on my check out day, I found breakfast ready for me at that ungodly hour. I love the location, it's within walking distance of the best places in Cape Town and public transport too (especially my favourite MyCiTi bus).
