It was a very warm and friendly guest house, the staff were very accommodating and friendly, I was invited to eat with the family, it was nice to talk with them. It was very clean and modern, the breakfast was nice and freshly prepared upon request. I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Fés. The location was fantastic (but it take a few tries to find it each time, due to the ting street in the old city! But that is what was fun!. alle vurderinger »
Dar Othmane was a gem of a find. The family that runs this riad is absolutely amazing, they even asked us if we wanted to be adopted! The riad is also in the heart of the old town and yet very quiet, except for the early morning call to prayer, which happens every where. The actual riad is gorgeous and very comfortable.
The riad is in the heart of the old town and the family that runs this riad is amazing. It allows us to know more closely the life of the people of that place.
We had privicy and the riad was a comfourtable and relaxing retreat from the buzzling and sometimes chaotic streets of the medina.
More contact with locals than one would have in a big hotel.
Nice breakfast in the terrace, very nice view (prepare for stairs!).
The place is small and quiet. Nice roof garden.
Due to over booking I had to change rooms, it wasn't a big deal. I ended up in the family home. So it was interesting to see a real Moroccan house.
I didn't like the yogurt they served, but that is it. Ha. Everything else was great.
Breakfast was served on the ground floor and not on the terass, like advertised on the brochure pictures.
The way to the Dar isn't easy to find at first and the little streets of the medina are dark to walk at night, so i wouldn't recommend to people (specially women) travelling alone...
