Location. I had everything I wanted just in a radius of a mile from the hotel. I run the ING night marathon and some sections of the course were next to my hotel. It was great experience. Good view! Good location! Rooms are not big but new and comfortable. Just for me stuff opened a dining-room at 7:50 (breakfast started at 8:30). The best place for people who like to travel and come to the city for outside activity, not for staying in room for all day.

To start with, the hotel was very well designed and clean.
Our room was on the last floor with a magnificent view to the entire city. It was fully equipped, very clean, and spacious. There was also a water boiler and a couple of free coffee and tee bags in the room.

Hotel Carlton is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Although in a not particularly salubrious part of Luxembourg the hotel is well situated for the station and is only a short walk to the old city. The concierge at the front desk couldn't have been more helpful. He took us to a restaurant, he served an excellent breakfast, he told us how to get on the bus. We felt like family. He needs a raise.
The orange juice at checkin was a bonus.
The breakfast was superb.

It was very well located. We walked from the Railway Station with our luggage and were pleased that the hotel was so close. It was also close to restaurants and shops - The cheddar cheese at breakfast--it was different than the other hotels we've stayed at.
