  As with most Japanese service industry workers, the staff could not do enough for us. We stayed the night we arrived in Japan and again the night before we left. The location was ok. - Cool place.   We booked the king size bedroom after spending 6 previous nights in a smaller economy double bedroom. The extra space in the room was very nice. - The free breakky provided at the lobby was simple yet good; traditional Japanese style. Love it!

  We stayed here because reasonably priced accommodation in Kyoto was booked out. The location is perfect if you want to be near Shin Osaka station and take the 15 minute train ride to Kyoto (using Japan Rail Pass) every day. You do need to exit the east exit of Shin Osaka Station to find the hotel easily. It is signposted as you go down the station... hva folk sier » stairs and out on the street, in English. If you can find the South and Central exits in the station, work out where the East exit should be and head - Front desk staff spoke excellent English and helped us in directions to travel around Osaka.   Location:- About 500m from Shin-Osaka Railway Station East Gate. Quite convenient especially if you plan to make Osaka your base and make day trips on the train. It is a little difficult to find on the first go.Get out of the East exit of the station and follow the tracks towards your right. You will see 'Pariwar' Indian restaurant. Good clean rooms with a lot of toile - The room was great, just right for a solo traveller. There was a nice big bed, a tv just the right size and a little pot for boiling water and making a nice cup of green tea. The location is good as well, even though it isn't in Osaka city itself. But it is right across the road from Shin-Osaka station which is a big interchange with the subway and Shinkansen. Breakfast was included in my room rate which was great, it meant I started each day on a full tummy!

  The hostel is just 5 min walk from Shin-Osaka JR station and subway station. The room is quite large, very big window which makes room bright in the daylight. Bed is comfortable. The staff is good at English(which means better than average English performance in Japan) and is very friendly. The shower room seems is Japanese style.   Hotel Consort located near to Noshikajima-minamigate subway station(M14). It is just located opposite the 'exit 2' of this subway station (less than 2 minutes walk). We purchased 'Haruka(return) + Icoca' package and took Haruku raiway from Kansai Airport and stop at Shin-Osaka Station. From there we change to subway line by using Icoca card and to... hva folk sier » ok subway(Minosuji line) at Shin-Osaka Subway Station(M13) to Noshikajima-minamigate subway station(M14). If you are carrying luggage, i suggested not - The location of the hotel is great - only one stop away from Shin-Osaka station. There's great little restaurants just outside the hotel if you're keen for a cheap and tasty meal. The room is very budget- friendly. It has everything you need and is very clean. I felt safe here. I would recommend anyone on a budget or anyone needing last minute accommodation to stay here.
