  Fabulous overall!!! I stayed at this hotel to be close to the airport for an early morning (430am) start. So while the location was a bit of a hike to Venice the previous day, it was worth it for the next morning's airport convenience. They even had a transfer van (booked the day before) for me at 5am for only 6 euros! Excellent service.   The welcome we received on arrival to the Doge was warm and friendly. We were too early to check in to our room but the owner kindly stored our bags while we went into Venice and could not have been more helpful. He drew us an easy to follow map on how to get to the bus stop, which is a gentle 15 minute stroll away.
