The accommodation is ideally situated to visit Villa d'Este and Tivoli itself on foot. Giancula and his mother are excellent hosts, friendly, charming and nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is very comfortable with a good breakfast. I left 2 jackets hanging in the wardrobe of our bedroom before heading to Sorrento and Giancula was very happy to post them on for me, communicating several times by email. I was very impressed by his courtesy. He also emailed us the day before our ar.
alle vurderinger » A beautiful place to stay in Tivoli! Just minutes by foot from the Villa d'Este, it is a convenient walk to the Villa Gregoriana also. Plenty of shops and restaurants up in the town. Gianluca could not have been a more welcoming or helpful host. He texted us ahead of time with help on how to find our way. The Casale dei Fiori is beautifully presented, we had an attractive, well appointed room and the bonus of access to a kitchen and lounge. The mum truffle- hunting dog and her puppies were ador. Just before we were due to arrive there was a serious plumbing problem caused by previous guests. Gianluca contacted us immediately and booked us into another B&B of comparable quality. He even arranged to meet us in his car and guide us to the location. It was unfortunate that we could not stay actually stay at Il Casale dei Fiori in the end, but Gianluca's dedication to quality of service saved the day for us and rounded off a wonderful two weeks holiday in Italy. This is a total gem of a find and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Gianluca makes you feel the most valued visitor and nothing is too much trouble for him! The B&B is lovely, clean, welcoming and in an excellent position for visiting Tivoli. The room was excellent and the breakfast generous and excellent quality - all personally served by the lovely Gianluca! We intend visiting again - it is like staying with a friend!. Gianluca the owner and operator was very friendly. We were perturbed by the access to the accommodation but once we were shown how close to the old city we were we were happy. Everything was within walking distance. View over Rome in the distance. Room was spacious and clean. We were also allowed the use of the lounge room and to make a cup of coffee for ourselves. Our host, Gianluca, was superb. So friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fabulous! Cereal, eggs, bacon, yoghurt, toast, ham n'cheese panino, pastry, juice & cappuccino or tea. Our 5th trip to Italy and one of best breakfasts. We appreciated use of kitchen to make snack, too. Location excellent. Short walk up street to old city. This B & B was fantastic. Close to the old downtown area of the city and a short walk to everything to see. Their recommendation for dinner in a nearby restaraunt was the very best we had the two weeks we were in Italy. What a great place to stay and a wonderful host. Gianluca is an exceptional host. I read the reviews before we stayed there and expected to be disappointed. I was not. He is incredibly helpful and hospitable and certainly made our stay extremely enjoyable. I would thoroughly recommend staying here. Gianluca was an excellent host and the B&B was first class. Very quiet location which can be difficult to find but the view is superb. Walk into town is about 15 minutes but coming back about 5 - it's uphill going and downhill coming back!. Everything about the accommodation and hospitality was great. room was comfortable. Very close and walking distance to Villa D'Este. Gianluca our host was terrific and full of useful information. Great, great place that I would highly recommend. The house and the hotelier were charming. Tivoli town was lovely and the restaurants were good and friendly with excellent food. The Villa d'Este was magnificent as was the Villa Adriana both world heritage sites. The personalised attention from Gianlucca was appreciated. This is a true B & B style where guests could relate travel stories over breakfast in the main area of the house. Wonderful. Was impressed, Gianluca the owner was very helpful,made us a welcoming coffee after arriving. Loved chatting, help us out with directions, breakfast was excellent, would highly recommend. There is nothing to dislike!. Only the difficutly initially in finding the B and B. Our Tom Tom found it but if it hadn't of been for Gianluca meeting us on the road we may not have realised we were at the right address. I don't remember seeing any signs to indicate it was the B and B. We liked it all. There are many sights around and in Tivoli and 2 nights maybe too short!. nothing.... Nothing. The access to public transport was lacking in Tivoli so you really need a car to make this easier. Don't rely on your GPS it will take you down a narrow, potholed lane, call ahead and get other directions from Gianlucca. Nothing. Abit difficult to find if you arrive in the dark, but we were rescued by our host. Required assistance with directions to get there. only issue was that it is not easy to find in the last 5 minutes. Easy to reach off the motorways yet quiet.
