It was a great experience. The owners went overboard to make you feel at home and answered our many questions with knowledge and added their own little bits to make it a great experience. as for the location it was great within walking distance of the central bus/train station. After all I have read about ROME budget hotels, I was pleasently surprised about this one. Its location is in a very safe and convineint quarter - 10 min. on foot to Termini and to the city centre. There are bus stops nearby to the main Rome attractions, eventhough you can reach them on foot. The owner is very polite and helpful. You can rely on him for every question you have.He gives you a map and routes on it, even without asking for this. The rooms were not big, but very comfortable. Break

We have stayed at Casa Carra for three nights. The room was clean and
had a fridge. The location was perfect it was close to Termini station,
but wasn't too close to it so outside it wasn't loud at all. You
could easily walk from there to the main attractions. The best part was
the service. There were two people working there Constantin and a young
girl, who were very friendly and always willing to help. Constantin
speaks good English and gave us many advices on what to visit, how to
get there,

We took a taxi from Termini station direct to the hotel. Easy to find, apart from we were not aware that the reception is on the 4th floor. The hotel has a Baroque inspired interior and as such is decadent and over the top, but beautiful.The hotel is new and still had evidence of building work, but it was August and the builders were on holiday so no big deal. Room with bathroom in four rooms suite right next to Roma Termini.
The room was clean, bathroom with hairdryer, bidet, shower, soap and shower gel. Every day they clean the room and change towels if desired (left on the floor).
Street ambience is slightly dubious, being right next to the station, but I had no problem with the 5 days we were there.

The apartment is relatively close to the center of Rome - Colloseum, about 20 min walk.

- very clean, new facilities
- good location close to the metro station

One might get a bit uncomfortable with "train station" ambience, but it's absolutely safe. We were coming back late a night and everything was fine. Overall it's an excellent option to stay in Rome. good value for money!
