Vittorio was a very sweet and friendly host. He lives upstairs so we texted him whenever we needed anything. Our room was enormous, with loads of useful furniture. Free coffee was lovely, wifi great. Having a child with us, it was really handy having access to a kitchen. -

We loved everything about this B&B. Alice, the owner, goes out of her way to make the guests feel at home. She even helped us when we had a medical emergency and even offered to drive us to the emergency room (which we luckily didn't have to). There are drinks (water, juice, ice tea) in the refrigerator, coffee and tea in the kitchen as well as fresh fruit in the room every day. Breakfast is toast, cereal and croissants. The room was very nicely decorated and looked like it was recently refurbished with a fine working aircondition, which was a life-saver in Rome's 38 degrees August heat! Bathroom excellent. Room cleaned every day. Espresso machine, free of use, in the common kitchen. Possible to cook breakfast or lunch on gas stove. Balcony with view over the Vatican roofs and towers. The location is 5-8 minutes walking from Metro station Ottaviano. The surrounding feels safe, also after dark, and it is easy to find a place to have/get breakfast in the morning.
Brioche and coffee/tea machine free to use is maybe simple but gave us a home feeling and is very handy.
Room is generally clean and comfortable. Simple, but all necessities are there.

Staff was great, facilities were comfortable. Patio/garden area were great. I've been to Rome 6 times and each time was in the Historic areas...Trastevere was a nice change of pace and much cheaper.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at La Porta B&B. It is only a short walk away from Bologna metro station, and three stops from Termini. My room was pleasant, and there was even a fridge and a microwave in the room. Breakfast was provided at the bar around the corner; a coffee/cappuccino and a sweet pastry. Very friendly and helpful staff, the hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from the metro station Bologna.
The railway station Triburtina only 1 metro station (direct connection to the airport). Close to the hotel there is also a supermarket (Tuordi) when you can buy cheap. The breakfast is served in a bar near the hotel - you can choose any cake as well as cappucino or mineral water. Good value for your money.
