My daughter and I had an incredible, relaxing time at Villa Pane. Last year I stayed in a hotel in Sorrento but this was much much better. We had a large, clean room with terrace and an amazing view of the Bay but the best thing was the hospitality of the family and the staff. I can also really recommend dinner in the evening. Villa Pane felt like home! Gianluigi and Ana Maria were so welcoming. Their villa is beautiful surrounded by the hills of Sorrento with lemon, fig, olive, orange trees everywhere. The walk to town is stunning, although Gianluigi is always ready to shuttle guests to and from the villa. Another fabulous bonus is the food served! This is just perfect hotel with a location at Spaccanapoli, close to Santa Chiara. You cant go wrong by staying here.
There are a few issues though. First there is no breakfast, no food at all. You will get a meal ticket, you can use this to pay for a coffe and a croissant at the coffe bar at Piazza S. Domenico Maggiore, a 7 min walk from the hote

The hotel is on the second floor, so plenty of stairs, but Vincent was on hand to help with our bags. We had a large double room with en suite shower room, and a small balcony facing Santa Chiara. You're right in the middle if the historical centre of the city with easy access to all the churches etc. the room was clean and if you kept the French doors to the balcony closed, you couldn't hear any traffic noise at all. We stayed 6 nights in Maison Tofani which is a great little hotel in the historical centre of Sorrento, decorated in the best Italian style. We had a large room with a big bed, a sofa and armchairs, a bathroom with shower - and free wifi! The room overlooked the narrow shopping street. We stayed for 2 nites. Had dinner twice. The ambiance is wonderful, the food was excellent. portions were huge and quality unbeatable! Prices were also really reasonable. We can honestly recommend anyone to stop over! Should we ever pass around this area for a night or a bite this is where we would stop! -
