  My husband and I and his elderly parents stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Paolo and the rest of the staff were wonderful and very helpful throughout our stay. I would go back again and highly recommend the hotel. Very convenient to the bus and train although I do suggest that you confirm directions prior to arrival as the hotel is on a smaller ... hva folk sier » street and we had a bit of difficulty finding it. - A family run hotel nothing was to much bother, the buffet breakfast was excellent. Information about the local historical sites to visit was very useful. There is a bus stop and train station both 5 minutes away which will take you to all the historical sites. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely go back

  Wonderful landscape, friendly staff, good food. the best we expected. Open Gate is the place we will choose again for the next visit on Amalfi Coast. - We had a great stay. The family was wonderful. The view from the rooms was excellent. We will come back next year for 2 weeks.

The owner is a spectacular lady - she loaned us a map of the Path of the Gods and recommended plenty of hikes which proved to be no less spectacular than the Path of the Gods.   The property is a great vacation getaway. It has everything from nice clean rooms, nice scented soaps and lotions, strong Internet connectivity and good food and wine. If you come here you must visit Paestum, ancient temples, Greek origin Lorenzo and Ophelia who are there most of the time are great hosts.

  Maria Pia and Michel, who run this place, are two of the nicest people you could hope to meet. Warm, friendly, helpful and considerate (I'll come to that in a bit), they make up for all the shortcomings of the hotel itself. Once inside (and up the steep staircase), it is a wonderful experience. Back to Michel and Maria Pia - they were very informativ - Basic accommodation but very clean. No stinking carpets here but easy to clean tiles in room and bathroom. The people where very friendly and provided a lot of information about Naples and had good tips about the public transport.
