The family-run Casa Teresa is located in Positano, 100 metres above the sea level, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It features antique-style rooms and serves breakfast on the beautiful sea-view terrace.
Rooms have old-style furniture and chandeliers, along with characteristic tiled floors and works of art on the walls. Each one has a TV and a fan, along with a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries.
Casa Teresa is a 2-minute walk from a bus stop linking with Sorrento. Guests who want to reach the beach have to go down 300 steps. Amalfi is a 20-minute drive away.

Casa Teresa is heaven on earth. It is a very friendly family atmosphere.
Teresa is a joy. She welcomed us like family and made us coffee on
arrival. Her husband and son (Enzo) were also extremely helpful. Enzo
arranged for a porter to carry our luggage, and when we stupidly got off
at the wrong bus stop, he rearranged the porter plan and sent the porter
to meet us. I strongly recommend getting a porter. It is the best 10e
you will ever spend. The room was lovely, and spotlessly clean.

Mama Theresa was lovely and helped make our stay perfect. She doesn't speak much english, but it didn't seem to matter ... we enjoyed our stay greatly.
On the plus side (for us), the house is not in the town center, but about a 20 min walk onto the other side of the mountain. It's closer to the most beautiful beach in the world, and you don't have to deal with as many tourists ... plus there are a few nice restaurants on that side of the mountain that we ate at every night.
Teresa was delightful and her staff very efficient. The location was great for beach. Advice for those coming by sita bus from sorrento stop at first stop in positano and walk down road for about 15 min and pass the scooter hire shop. Then go down via lepanto on right side and you have about another 5 min to the door. Fornillo Beach down about 300 steps from there. Do not walk those steps with suitcase from ferry.
Felt like we were staying amongst family and friends. Teresa and her family are so very caring and kind. Casa Teresa is a quaint comfortable home with beautiful pictures and ornaments throughout. Amazing linen and towels. Breakfast was a leisurely affair with delicious food and coffee on the terrace with a stunning view of the water. Very quiet and relaxing location. Paid parking available at a local garage.
Loved the setting tucked off the main road down a beautiful small walkway. Felt like we were staying with a family member. Teresa was warm and hospitable and looked after us like a mother. Close to the beach. We did not mind the steps except for the luggage, but used a porter on the way back. Loved the simple breakfast and delicious coffee each morning. Perfect!!!.
The view from Casa Teresa is very beautiful. They served a croissant, bread, jams, and coffee breakfast on the terrace. The food is very yummy and it is a relaxing way to begin the day. Teresa and her family are very friendly and helpful. A great environment. The location is good, as you can walk anywhere in town.
The accomodations at the Casa were wonderful with a great view and terrace. Teresa and Enzo were very helpful with sights to see and things to do.
There are many steps at the place but it was not a problem. A great place to stay in a lovely area.
Theresa and her husband were excellent hosts and put on a great breakfast with their homemade jams and croissants. We loved the location and it was close to the beach as well as lots of great restaurants.
A very relaxed place to stay. Like staying with family. A good view from our terrace. plenty of room to spread out. Recommend using porter services or pack light as no vehicle access to hotel.
We really appreciated the staff's patience with us since we were not able to check in until after 10 p.m. and they stayed up for us taking care of paperwork the next morning after breakfast.

Extra detail: there are MANY steps down to Casa Teresa, so best to have a light suitcase !
However, the view is sensational.
It would have been great to have some kind of protein with the breakfast (eggs, meat, or yogurt). That being said, the breakfast was included and very delicious!.
bathroom needed a clean. Mold on ceiling and wall around bath/shower. Only a small point in otherwise good place.
No wifi.
Bathroom could use upgrade- aging a bit.
