AMAZING PLACE!!! it was a small studio apartment. Perfect for the 2 of us! We have a kitchenette a small seating area as well a balcony with a bit of a ocean view. The owner was awesome. I loved how personable she was and super friendly. I couldn't believe that she personally makes breakfast for all her guests. She baked fresh bread and croissants for us. The best breakfast i have ever had at any hotel i have ever stayed at. Rooms were excellent. free wifi. very clean! Bathrooms may be slightly. alle vurderinger »
Located at the entrance of the village when arriving by car.
The weather was a little bit cold and it was raining, but the studio we stayed in was warm, clean and well equipped. The view from the window over the sea, mountain and village was nice. Breakfast was good. Unfortunatly due to the weather we could not have breakfast on the terrace that had a nice view overlooking the surrounding terraced hills.
The people at Da Baranin makes you feel welcome and they are doing that little extra that yo.
I travelled with my parents to Cinque Terre and we couldn't have imagined a better overnight stay than Da Baranin. The staff were courteous and the room was very clean, comfortable and gorgeous with a fabulous little balcony overlooking the stunning township of Manarola and the sea. We slept very well. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful - pastries, eggs, cereals, cappucinos, yoghourt and juice and the breakfast area was exceptionally clean and lovely. Da Baranin was also great value for m.
This quaint B&B at the top of the hill in Manarola ensures that the nights will be quiet. Our rooms were large with excellent beds, and a large private bathroom. It is run by two sisters and a small staff of others who are extremely helpful. The breakfast includes a wide variety of juices, coffee/tea, baked goods, and our favorites - croissants just out of the oven. There is no question that we would stay here again if we revisited the Cinque Terre.
Our room was far more than we every expected and the pictures do not do it justice!
Our hosts were very nice, personable and meet our every need. Breakfast was a delight and the views are spectacular!
We so enjoyed the roof top private patio where we soaked up the scenery, sounds of the quaint town and terrific wine:)
Highly recommend - but keep in mind alot of stairs to climb so if that is any issue perhaps request a lower level room.
Quaint B&B to stay at in Manarola - great for exploring Cinque
Terre. Is in 2nd of the 5 villages. Staff was incredibly helpful with
dinner reservations, hike suggestions, etc. Breakfast was lovely. Had
room with twin beds - small, but balcony looking over Manarola was
breathtaking and a perfect place to enjoy vino and a good book! We
arrived before the open check in times, but she came to help check us in
when we rang the bell.
Wonderful location ... owners and staff are so friendly and informative. Each morning's breakfast sitting on the terrace with fresh baked croissants, blended juice, cappuccino and other goodies was a terrific way to start our day and a great way to end the day enjoying a bottle of wine. Our room was very nice and we enjoyed every bit of our 6 nights at the Da Baranin. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cinque Terra.
The two sisters who run the B&B are excellent and know a lot about hiking the Cinque Terre. The superior room with a balcony that has a camellia flower on the wall is wonderful, large size, and a perfect side view of the town and the water. One of the sisters recommended Dal Billy restaurant, right up the street, best meal we had, the black ink squid pasta with fruitta da mare is truly excellent.
A very nice little hotel in Cinque Terre! The rooms are not like a normal hotel but separated buildings in the hill, connected by small staircases. Our room had a small terrace/balcony which was perfect for a nice evening with a bottle of red wine. The receptionist was very friendly and gave us good advice where to go for dinner.
All in all a very good hotel that we would visit again.
Stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. Probably one of my favourite places in Italy. Room was perfect breakfast on the balcony was gorgeous would definitely stay here again if I return. Staff very friendly and helpful and recommended the restaurant beside them where we had the best pasta of our trip.
Location near top of Manarola hill worked well for us as we only had short distance from car park baggage drop off point to hotel. Quiet area away from main area of activity of Manarola. Easy access to restaurants and walking paths.
Staff spoke English and very accommodating.
Staff were very friendly & very helpful & really made us feel at home. Location was great, fantastic views though the walk up the hill was a bit of a climb particulary with luggage. Manarola was our favourite place at Cinque Terre-loved the walk to Vernazza.
Excellent hospitality, rich breakfast and awsome view! In Manarola terms it really is close to the parking lot, but that is still far from being close...
The studio we've stayed in is a little old fashioned, but has a fully equipped kitchen and it is truely spacious.
The double room was a decent size and even had a small kitchenette and
couch that we were not expecting in the room. The staff was very
friendly and the breakfast was quite delicious. The shower was also
bigger than some other hotels in Italy.
Comfortable big bed, tasty varied breakfast which could be eaten on the terrace with a beautiful view, very close to excellent restaurant called Trattoria Billy. I asked if I could check in early and the hostel agreed which was useful.
Great value. Helpful, caring staff that run an awesome B&B. The rooms were amazing. There's a an excellent local restaurant a minute away from this place and the food was excellent. Will stay there if I ever go back.
I would stay here every time I was in cinque terre -- there's
absolutely nothing not perfect about the property.
The breakfast was the best we had in Italy, the staff was great, the accomodations (room) was out of a book.
The staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful when we were needing advice on how to get onto the hiking trails.
The room was beautiful and we had our own wee balcony which was fab.
The breakfast was lovely as well.
We've booked a studio apartment in Da Baranin: spacious room,
kitchenette with all facilities included, very clean and a
beautiful view over Manarola and the sea. Hotel staff very friendly
and ready to help.
Loved the balcony with sea view, loved the outdoor terrace for breakfast, loved the cappuccino made for us each morning, extra blankets in the room, very large spacious room, quiet.
Loved the staff--very helpful. Enjoyed use of the terrace for breakfast and during off-hours. Room was very spacious and clean. Nice set-up for one single and one double bed.
The lady who ran it was wonderful. It was very clean and comfortable. Loved the terrace for breakfast, or just sitting relaxing. Lovely breakfast.
Breakfast was good, been in Manarola everything is vertical, so expect a hike from the realroad stacion, enjoy and take your time, great views.
We got upgraded to a large apartment with terrace. Long hike up into the highest part of the village. Quite part of town with beautiful views.
We loved the scenic surroundings. Nice patio/terrace and
breakfast cafe. Abundant breakfast included eggs, meat and cheese;
not just pastries.
We stayed in a studio. Very huge room w/ kitchen. If you get there by car. Da Baranin is a good option. It's very close to parking lot.
- the statt was very friendly, relaxed and helpfull
- the rooms were well equipped and cute
- the breakfast was pretty good.
Charming, Loved the view, old world feel. Long hike for 55 year olds dragging suitcases from train station, BUT worth it !.
We loved everything. The location was perfect, the staff very helpful and the breakfast one of the best we've had.
Being able to sit outside on our own private balcony along with the décor of the room.
Good location, at the peak of the Manarola, but you have to climb the mountain.
Big and clean bedroom, great breakfast, free wifi, nice decoration.
Friendly staff and excellent view from balcony room.
Wonderful B&B, great staff, amazing scenery.
Friendly staff most helpfully
Fantastic walks.
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Breakfast was amazing
Free wifi.
Nice room, bath etc.
Breakfast.
We enjoyed our stay at the Da Baranin Hotel. We stayed in the studio apartment; it is not physically connected to the hotel which is 30 meters up the street. The staff is friendly and speaks English. The studio was very clean and has a nice view of the sea, the mountains and the sunset. It is located in a quiet part of Manarola, and the room was big enough for the two of us to be comfortable. The kitchen is very small but functional, has a 2 burner stove top, sink, small fridge, toaster, bu.
The hotel appeared very secure.
Location was good.
Heater was not powerful enough so it got a bit chilly at night but nothing major. A bit of a hike uphill (paved road) to get here plus a few steps. We had carry on bags so it wasn't that bad. And honestly, this isn't the hotel's fault. If you want to stay in Manarola than any B&B will located in a similar manner. This is definitely not stopping me from highly recommending this place to my family and friends!.
Our shower drain didn't drain well and had some strange/off
smell from the bathroom at times, but was not unbearable. The walk up to
the B&B is tough - not for anyone who has problems walking or
pulling up luggage. Hard to find the B&B, but asked directions from
nearby business.
No English television station channel.
The bathroom was a bit tiny but reasonable, considering the available space in these small villages.
Nothing.
It's not the hotel itself, but the parking is miles away! ...and not only horizontaly :).
We had trouble with the lock on our door and the wifi was not very good,
as it was only available at reception and not in the rooms. We also
noted a few ants in the breakfast area.
Small bathroom!.
The long walk from the Train Station. The reception is closed for a couple of hours around noon.
With the exception to the perfect property being that you will have to
walk approx 1/4? 1/2 mile up a very steep hill to get to the
property (it's located just behind one of the church buildings (not
the main one) and during the summer and humid months, this would be an
issue for folks that were in not great shape or with any injuries.
instant coffee in the room.
Disappointed we did not have direct view of the sea. Terrace too small for the three of us.
Room was very small the bed was big. bathroom is tiny. If I were slightly bigger, I wouldn't
Fit in the shower.
Some mold in bathroom, flies in breakfast area.
Our bathroom needs work. The curtain on the window kept falling down and
the glass shower door wouldn't stay on its track as you opened and
closed it.
They use a small boiler to make hot water. If you both want to take a shower in the morning, you'd better do it quickly.
-some rooms can be noisy in the morning because they serve breakfast just beside it.
All good , as advertized.
Nothing.
The toilet is so small.
No wifi in some rooms.
The walk up the hill and stairs with luggage in-tow was a little much. Da Baranin should consider providing a shuttle van service for guests with heavy luggage.
No sea or town view.
Hard to find. Please send directions from the train station with booking.
There was a funny smell to the room which was quite bad.
Steep climb to get there.
No WiFi in room (you must walk to the hotel); no balcony; price does not include breakfast (you can pay 10E at the hotel). Coffee maker is too small and makes only a half cup of coffee. The studio and bathroom are clean but quite dated – but so are most small hotels in the Cinque Terre.
No one was ever at the front desk.
Person at check-in was preoccupied. when we went down to office to ask questions about the area she was not very helpful. working with her son? on homework. We ask to upgrade rooms and she said nothing was available although sign on door said rooms available. HMMM. Shower didnt drain well. Pull out couch for bed.
