Excellent hotel in a very good location just off Maggiore Piazza. The staff were friendly and helpful. I drove to the hotel and they looked after city driving permit and parking.
I used sat nav to find hotel which got me to the front door, unfortunately via a pedestrian area! Still I learnt some new Italian phrases.

Great location, lovely staff, elegantly furnished - more than worthy of its three stars. A tasty breakfast was offered in a stylish dining room from 06:45 until 10:30 so great for tourists and business travellers alike. You couldn't be any more central (convenient for shops & sights), yet it wasn't really noisy. A lovely hotel in a lovely city - what a find!

The Hotel was just about perfect, from the location, 20Metres or so off the main drag to our room being very quiet, the room was large and spacious , with a free fridge and small safe (again free of charge ) big enough for a small lap top.
The bed was very, very comfortable (subjective I know ) with good quality linen and pillows plus spares.

Breakfast was as good as any I have had in Italy and better than most, so no complaints there.

The Hotel Cavour was perfect for staying in Bologna. Only five minutes walk from the centre and ten minutes to the station. It was exceptionally clean, the staff were helpful and the breakfast each day was amazing - cereals, ham, cheese, pastries, juices, tea, coffee etc etc. Room was large with air conditioning and the bathroom was fine. Would stay there again.
