  This hotel was quite simply one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. The sheer delight of being in such a historic building, beautifully restored with spacious rooms and excellent facilities was a treat not to be missed. Original features and interiors, lovely 15th century palazzo which has a more personal feel than a hotel. Chic without being expensive and snobby.

I had not been there for a decade or more and this time found it had upgraded itself to a 'hotel,' level 3 in the Italian style of rating.
