  We were very happy to have Francesco meet us and take us to the apartment to settle us in. The apartment was huge, very well equipped and really gave us all the room to move that we needed. The proximity to the boats and gondolas was a delight and really kept the children entertained for long periods every day. The location was superb.   The hotel staff was very polite and extremely helpful. The hotel room is spacious and grand, quite medieval venetian style. The hotel gardens and the surroundings are fascinating for an early morning stroll. Do eat in the hotel even though it's expensive as their executive chef menu is something to behold.
