  The hotel is positioned in a quiet side street and was a tad more expensive than we usually pay for our city breaks but we thought it was good value in relation to the other hotels in the area. But it was well furnished and we had the canal view, which was lovely. But the bed was extra- large and very comfy. The front of house were very helpful with regards to restaurant recommendations - Very central boutique hotel within 5 mins of St Marks......loved the gondolas passing the door of the hotel & some had singers/guitar players ....the singing was brilliant !!! The staff were all friendly & very helpful. The room we had was a junior suite & for 3 women sharing was a bit on the small side but we managed. I would recommend that the hotel get rid of the excercise bike & replace it with a chest of drawers or another wardrobe !!!! Breakfast was really good & plent

  Really enjoyed our stay here. Just realize that European hotels are different from us cookie-cutter hotels. Tucked away from noisy tourist crowds. Charming small pensione with fantastic views. Felt like a local. Canal views from each room, favorite part of the day was opening a bottle of proscecco and sitting in the window sill watching seranading... hva folk sier » gondolas go by. Hot croissants, meats, cheeses, cappucinos for breakfast complete with another canal view. Simona was great. Credit cards not a probl - Great location. Air-conditioned room. Friendly owner and staff.

  Our stay at the Hotel Dell'Opera made our time in Venice perfect, we were there during a very hot/humid spell and we were able to stop back into the hotel throughout the day because of the central location and cool off, take a bath in their beautiful bathroom, or a siesta in their crisp sheets, it was total luxury for a fraction of the cost. They answered our quesions and were always ready to print our a map and direct us to where we waned to go. The room was great. The highlight of our stay was the helpfulness of Jason and all the staff.
