  This hotel was amazing - way more than we expected for that price. Our triple room was very clean, nicely fitted, had all the facilities - air conditioner, private bathroom, hairdryer, safe, television, etc. We had a little kitchen in the hall and could put our drinks there to stay cool.   Excellent location - in Trastevere which is great for restaurants and bars in the evening. Also on the quieter side of Trastevere so you are not too much in the tourist throng but only 2 minute walk away from it all. Easy to reach the historic centre on foot over the river (8-10 minute walk). Luigi, the manager, was really good - had great English... hva folk sier » and was very helpful. The room was clean, airy and the bathroom small but perfectly formed. Tea and coffee facilities in the main reception/lounge ar - Great value for money. No laundry service but Fabrizio offered to take laundry to a serviced place around the corner. 15 mins to Pantheon and loads of restaurants nearby. Breakfast not included in rate but kettle was available in small kitchen so we could make tea. Room a good size with a day bed so we could have both cases open a t the same time.

He gave us all the information and map of Rome that we needed to see and enjoy our stay.

The reception has been already closed but manager came from home to organize check in.   Casa San Giuseppe is centrally located to everything in Rome, especially the Ponte Sisto, which is a great nighttime hangout with Romans. Because it is on the Trastevere side of Rome, the neighborhood is quiet. This hotel has the best blackout shades I have ever seen in my life, so you have absolutely no idea that it is morning! The staff was extremely nice and helpful, providing us with an extra converter each night and reserving a cab at 5 am on the morning of our depar - We had a rent car, and was fortunate to get a space just in a little alley right in front of the entrance. Trastevere neighbourhood is great, icecream shops, and ristorante and trattorias just around the corner. In walking distance to all major "must see" tourist attractions. For italian standard, the breakfast is very good. Our 3 person room was very spacious, but the furniture and bathroom is some what dated and worn. All in all very good value for money.
