  We had a large, comfortable room with a view of the canal and the church. Hotel has a pleasant garden. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location, near to San Basilio vaporetto stop, convenient for attractions in the Dorsoduro area. A few caffes and osteria nearby but not far to walk to find whatever you need. I also really loved to wake up listening to birds' singing. Room/bathroom is romantically decorated and is relatively spacious.

Breakfast was great..the decor of hotel really created an atmosphere of old Venice..the location was close enough to everything yet not so close you felt crowed by center.   The two-bedroom suite was great. The rooms were large and nicely decorated. The bathroom had an additional room with a 2nd sink, so two adults could easily get cleaned up. The hotel is very convenient to St. Mark's Square just by crossing the Grand Canal via traghetto, and then walking a couple of blocks. The staff were extremely polite and helpful with instructions on how to get around the city, and looked after our baggage when we went for a walk about the city after we had checked out. We also liked that we drop off the key whenever we leave the hotel. Very close to San Marco square, beautiful view out to the Grand Canal from the room where we ate breakfas - Everything was great. Very spacious room and a nice welcome with a bottle of champagne (we were travelling on our honeymoon). We enjoyed the view on a small romantic channel with gondolas passing by (there are some rooms with windows overlooking the Grand Canal). Excellent location, easy to find and get to (next to a water bus stop),and great for sightseeing and shopping (just a short stroll from San Marco with all designer stores on the way).

There are 2 bridges in between, the big one right out the train station and a little one after so you may suffer a little with your luggage, but thats normal in Venice.
