  Fausto, our host was fabulous. He speaks 4 or 5 languages fluently, is very kind, patient, generous and helpful. We were able to get last minute tickets through him to hear Vivaldi at one of the churches nearby. Quick response to my emails. They provided directions to the centre. 2. The breakfast. Not much choices (2 rolls, jam, butter, cheese, 1 croissant, tea/coffee/hot chocolate) but it was OK and quick.   -True Venice experience! The hotel is located on one of the small canals, so finding the hotel was an adventour in itself. Its entrance is located on a small side street and you walk through the ground floor of the building (past the canal boat entrance) to get to the rooms. It felt like we were staying in a Venice residence instead of a hotel.... hva folk sier » - Friendly, helpful staff - Great location - few minutes away from the main tourist areas, but far enough so that it was very quite - Room was lovel - Locanda Ca Del Console is in a very good location between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. It isn't easy to find, but use the directions on the website along with a map and you'll figure it out eventually. The staff is very friendly, which is a big plus. We made the reservation at the last minute so we didn't have many choices. The room was big. The decor was a little strange. The breakfast was fine. Did I mention the staff is very friendly? That was the biggest plus.

  In general a very good place: Located right next to a canal in Cannaregio, you are at Rialto Bridge and St Marco's in a few minues. It's a rather small place with only a few rooms, so the atmosphere is very cosy. Our rooms were nice and clean, the bathroom new and we had to share it only with one other room.
