Although this was not close to the train station and it is quite expensive to travel on the water taxi to get to the hotel, it was in a great location close to Piazza San Marco and the lovely quiet area and gardens of St. Elena. We were able to walk with our luggage back to the train station on departure once we were able to navigate our way around

This hotel is a gem. The room was fantastic, easy walk to San Marco and the staff was lovely. I would highly recommend it. The apartment (vivaldi) was very clean and the staff friendly. They didn't have a booking for our last day so they let us check out at 6pm. The apartment is not only central but in a proper strategic spot, everything was only 5 minutes away. It was warm, comfortable and gave lots of privacy.
