I booked ages in advance, so I couldn't remember what the pictures looked like.

Beautiful and modern. The facilities eg. New bedrooms, bathrooms, timber floors are beautiful.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Not far from station and very close to the water. If u want to go to cinque terre it's just a 5 min train ride... La spezia is more modern than cinque terre if that is what you are looking for.

the location is perfect for visiting cinque terre, because is near to the train station. the wi - fi was excellent. the room was clean and regarding the noise, as being near to the train station, that really didn't bother as at all.

The staff, particularly the receptionist were very friendly and helpful. The building itself was interesting and unique in layout. It was only a few minutes walk down to the main shopping area and the sea-front.

Even though the hotel staff did not speak very much English they tried very hard to understand us and figure out what we needed. The hotel was very convenient to the train station, just down the steps. - It was right across the street from the rail way station. It made it very easy to tour the Italian Cinqua Terra by train. The owner's nephew even drove us to the train station when he realized our Italian was not up to negotiating our way on the bus! We would have loved to stay longer.
