Parking is free at Il Melograno. The nearest bus stop is 300 metres away for buses into Gallicano and to the towns of Lucca and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. The Apuan Alps are ideal for trekking, while the River Serchio and other local rivers are great for rafting.

Great hosts in Carlo & family, peace & tranquility, great place to relax and explore Serchio valley from. Plenty of info from Carlo and crew on what to see and do in the area. For people trying to find the b&b it is on the Lucca side of Via Roma although we had fun trying to locate it initially. And the pool was great to dip into and relax near after a busy day. The owner of the place was extremely helpful with everything - he suggested where to have dinner and even made reservations for us. Rooms were very nicely done, clean and spacious. Tasty home-made breakfast.
