  Eager to get out of Milan and see what all the fuss about Lake Como was about, we luckily picked Villa Anita in the lakeside town of Bellano. As the hour-long local train made it's way from the Milan station, I felt release as we got farther away from the hustle. By the time the train emerged from the tunnel under one of the mountains bordering ... hva folk sier » Lake Como, I could see that we had left the city behind, and behold: Lake Como, snow-capped mountains, and a great place to take it all in at Villa An - The guest house is situated approximately 5min walk from the Bellano. We had a car and thought it was an excellent base with fantastic views from our lake side room. Anita who owns and runs the guest house goes out of her way to accommodate you. Breakfast was good with freh bread every morning and many other options. The guest house is a lovely house with a fireplace and large terrace to enjoy summer and winter.
