  Villa San Giovanni was a good place to stop after getting off the traghetto and before going onto somewhere else. The hotel have ties to a good pizza restaurant a few hundred metres away. A great breakfast of croissants, cakes, tarts, cold meats and cheeses! - More luxury than we're used to. Very convenient location for trains & ferry (which ... hva folk sier » is why we chose it...)   It was very comfortable and the staff were helpful-it was near the train station and ferry for Messina - location just opposite the train station. did not have to use taxis to get around town or back to the station. staff was most pleasant and spoke enough english for me to be able to communicate.
