Absolutely everything! I am a travel agent in Ireland, so I know what to expect and was not expecting a lot from a hostel. However, the reviews looked good and price was great. I was so impressed by the staff, the provision of towels, the location and most of all by the apartment that we stayed in. Had great location and they even let us check out late as they didn't have a booking the next day.

In Sleepzone, they can show you what to do in the city, recommend restaurants and pubs and sell you guided tours to other places nearby Galway. Besides, the common areas are very clean and organized, specially the kitchen. A very simple breakfast (bread, jam and juice/coffee) is included, but it was more than enough for us. Most guests clean up after themselves in the kitchen, with backup from staff when they don't. Sitting rooms are inviting, people quiet and respectful, feels like being at home I like the art on the walls, the books in the library, they all say "Galway" and "Ireland" and "Welcome to it." Housekeeping is immaculate, guest towels part of the service. - The staff were very friendly and helpful -Great location -Clean and secure rooms - The nicest breakfast I have ever had in a Hostel -Each bed in dorms had its own individual light -Clean and spacious Kitchen great for making meals with friends . I felt that the hostel was well run and managed, so things were really well organised. As a traveller that's very reasuring. I'd also like to say the staff showed an excellent combination of friendliness and efficiency. Cannot complain about anything. Towels were also available which i was not expecting from a hostel. What's not to like, a private 2 bed apartment right in the middle of Galway for 150 euro....great!!. Fridge and cupboard patrol is evident but could be more frequent. -One plug outlet for six women. The only problem i had was there was no onsite parking. There was public parking across the street but did not fancy leaving my car in a city center car park on a Saturday night. Nothing!. there was nothing that I did not like.. WiFi only available on the ground floor. We cancelled from 6 beds to 4, well in advance, but the hostel still charges us for 6, in spite of them saying in an earlier email that we 'd be charged for 4- Be careful of cancellations and bookng changes. Kitchen times closed early mornin 11 would be more suited. Big groups taken over the kitchen, very noisy and difficult to cook ur own meal. It needs some kind of signpost on the main road because the name of the street doesn't appear on the new building of T-X Max. I liked everything. Showers were awful - only goes for 20seconds and then you have to push it in again. No free breakfast. Idiots running riot on Saturday night till 4am.... nothing - it was lovely our room was smallish but as expected from a hostel. Check out was 10am which is much too early if you have been out drinking and have to drive a car. It should be 11am at least. Crowded dorm room. Hot water wasnt always available,oven in cooker not in good nick, had to get crockery from main hostel. There in no breakfast. There wasn´t central heating. not a thing to say here. Early check out. Confusion with booking. Bathroom was tiny, 6 bed dorm was very narrow and squashed. Light not working in room also. None. Bunk beds. It's not good in sound proof. the apartments smelt mouldy and disgusting. there were disgusting stains on the carpet. we couldn't use the kitchen/loungeroom because it looked unhygienic, and the carpets were sticky. it was so expensive for what we got. i have stayed at heaps of backbackers before and they have always been clean and secure. this place was foul. the beds were also very dirty. will never stay here again. very disappointed. We made a reservation for a room with private bathroom, when we arrived they gave us a shared bathroom room. Theire explanation was that mistakes happen and that it wasn't the end of the world, not kidding, and they charged us a room with private bathroom instead of a shared one. We had to ask them for a partial refund.

However, for group bookings of 8 people or more, full payment may be requested up to 4 weeks in advance of arrival. All bookings are pre-authorised on the day of arrival for the amount of the first night's stay. Photo ID is required at check-in. The hostel cannot check you in without it. All persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a supervising adult and staying in private accommodation, not sharing with other people.
