Our first, but not last, trip to Ireland began with a warm welcome from
Mel and Denis in Bunratty, just minutes from the Shannon Airport. Mel
was most accommodating and gracious. Her home is immaculate and her
breakfasts delicious. When our multi-hour delayed flight from jfk
imposed an unexpected delay in our arrival, she was genuinely
concerned, as she had generously agreed to open her home to us early in
the morning. She goes out of her way to assist you, making reservations
for dinner or off. alle vurderinger »
This b&b is closer to the Shannon airport than most carparks are in major cities. The location couldn't be better! Mel is the perfect hostess, when I arrived she cranked the electric blanket on the bed (which was SO comfortable!), pulled the blinds and allowed me to sleep the entire afternoon of my arrival so I could avoid jetlag. I woke up refreshed and less than 5 hours in Ireland I walked down the road to see my first castle and have my first pint. Innisfree is the perfect place to begi.
The Innisfree was very comfortable and had the best bed in our two week
Irish vacation. Mel welcomed us mid afternoon with tour of the grounds,
dinner suggestions, and asking about our breakfast needs. The bonus to
that great meal was a view of the sunrise from the breakfast nook. Last
but not least, Mel helped navigate a busy travel day, including return
the rental car, bus to Limerick & train to Dublin. This was all on
reduced Sunday service.
Mel (owner) is great, funny and welcoming and a bundle of energy! The
food is wonderful, the setting beautiful. Bunratty Castle is a few
minutes walk away. There are traditional Irish music Sessions in Durty
Nellies (piano bar) and The Oakwood Lodge, near by. Loved this b+b!.
My stay at Innisfree was excellent. Mel was extremely welcoming. Breakfast was lovely and plenty to choose from. My room was spotless, bed was very comfy and plenty of hot water in the shower. I will be back.
Everything! From the quiet, beautiful countryside suroundings to the great cooked breakfasts and friendly informative staff - a brilliant 2 nights stay!
Thank you Mel! Top of the morning to you, to be sure!.
My breakfast plate looked like it was prepared for a masterchef competition - delicious as well as beautiful! My kind host offered to give me a lift twice. It was an excellent b&b experience.
Appreciated being given a lift to Durty Nellies!
Wi-Fi was great form our teenager.
Quiet and pretty location.
Easy parking.
Great Irish Breakfast.
Denis & Mel were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was spot on, and was delighted with the free wi-fi while on my business trip.
Very comfortable room and beds.
Friendly landlady who was only too pleased to advise on good places to visit.

The b&b was lovely, mel and Dennis were very friendly and we felt at home there, had a lovely weekend thank you.
Our stay was most enjoyable, Mel made us feel very welcome and helped us with our continuing journey.
The location was right down the road from Bunratty Castle, shops and Durty Nelly's pub.
We liked :
A: The location.
B : The breakfast.
C : The welcome refreshments.
Great welcome-That homely feel-The freedom-Just a really nice place to stay.
The owners are lovely, very nice breakfast, great stay.
Everyone was friendly, the breakfast was very good.
Having face cloths in the bathroom.
everything was wonderful.
Host & breakfast.
Its very quiet.
It's a challenging walk to the "village" and castle since
the roads are narrow and winding.
We didn't like leaving. If we are lucky enough to return to Ireland,
the Bunratty Innisfree will be at the top of our accommodations list.
Nothing:).
The little UHT milk pods for use with the tea.
Nothing.
Bunratty is too commercialized. The dinner at the castle was not even fun. Would never do that again.
We were concerned about:
The walk in shower. We were in room 1 and found that the shower
tray was very slippy, otherwise the room was good.
There is nothing i did not like.
Nothing everything was great.
My wife thought the bed was too hard.
Bathroom.
