We found the staff to be highly professional and the facilities to be first-rate. Location was excellent and because we were situated near the back of the property there was no intrusive street noise. Tour of the rice fields was well organized and informative. All-in-all a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. This is a beautiful hotel with the true feeling of Bali. The lush greenery and the layout of the rooms makes for a private and relaxing escape from the crowds of Ubud just steps away. The location is great, right in the heart of restaurants, shopping and Monkey Forest Park.
alle vurderinger » The Barong is a perfect hotel if you want to be in Ubud center close to temples, shops and restaurants. The hotel is yet very quiet and small with its only 12 rooms. The swimming pool is a real plus to relax. We've really appreciated the dedication and kindness of the staff. Great location. Strategic spot at the center of Ubud at Monkey forest street. The bungalow with terrace was ally great, nice staff and great location - in the center of the city, close to the monkey forest, would like to turn back to this hotel. Great location in Ubud, friendly and courteous staff. The venue was what we pictured as Balinesian - thatched roof cottage with canopy bed and deep roman style tub. Situated in the heart of Ubud, there is a vast range of restaurants and shops, yet once you walk into the resort it is an oasis of peace and relaxation. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. Location,free wifi,breakfast. Lobby,location. The food was not so great. The hotel would need a slight face-lift. Because of ubud Humidity aircond smelled. Otherwise excellent. One of our two cottages lacked access to English TV. The lighting in the room was a bit low - difficult to read a book, although OK if you are reading a tablet. At night, the base notes of a nightclub could be clearly heard. Room smelt a little musty ala Bali style. Bed net could possibly get cleaned occasionally, if not dusted for all the dead insects on top. A bit expensive; consider staying a little bit farther away and saving some money (and enjoying a bit more peace and quiet). A bit of construction noise from next door, although this is of course not the hotel's fault. Music is a bit loud but when you turn on the ceiling fan, you can ignore the sound from bars nearby. -Nothing much. Unhelpfull staff,no shuttle service,old amenities in room and bathroom. Over-rated. Small rooms,dark,bathroom had no natural light,toilet flush did not work properly, curtains had openings through which passers by could see, not ideal for single woman for example.
