Excellent hotel inside, outside is not good but then nowhere outside in Delhi is very good. Don't be put off by the outside appearence of the hotel--when you go inside it's a transformation. Breakfast was a good mix of Western & local dishes. Freshly made omelettes were delicious.

Location was good too - close to Connaught Place & good for getting our bearings in New Delhi. It's also not too far from Old Delhi. It's also close to a key metro station.

Fast check-in, offered help with luggage (unlike the Radisson the week before). Plenty of bottled water in room, fresh lillies in room, request for room with bath met. Room scrupulously clean, modern decor, quiet at night so slept well. Extensive room service menu, food arrived promptly and was delicious. Breakfast buffet very tasty as well. Staff all helpful.

I stayed at Shanti home twice, once at the beginning and once at the end
of my India trip. It is a little way from the city centre, which is nice
as a bit quieter and anyway only 3 minutes from the metro. It is a
lovely, spotlessly clean place and the staff go out of their way to make
you welcome. The food is their rooftop restaurant was some of the best I
had in India and anytime I return to Delhi I will always stay here.
