  Gudny, the owner/host went above and beyond in making our stay in Iceland more pleasant. The food left in the fridge was absolutely delicious and she even provided us with a snack when we arrived early in the morning.   Excellent place to start (or end) your trip. Host met us in airport and within 5 minutes we were at the guesthouse. Facilities are good and room is enough big. Also there are a lot of photos of host, old newspapers (unfortunatly only on Icelandic), books and photobooks about nature both on Icelandic and English.   Our apartment was very nice and clean. This was the only apartment that we stayed in while in Iceland, and it made us wish that we'd stayed in more. The owner was wonderful. Due to travel delays, we extended our stay in Iceland to make up for lost time at the front end of our trip. We had a full day to spend in Iceland on a stopover between Europe and the us. The staff of the guesthouse picked us up at the airport, arranged for rental cars for us, and drove us back to the airport the next day. It was all so easy and convenient.
