  This is a simple guest house but a very good one with excellent facilities for the money. The villa is a 10-minute walk down to the lakeside and the walk itself is very pleasant. The owners were delightful, friendly but also knew to leave us to do our own thing. They were also very accommodating in terms of any requests we had. Big front yard with lots of grass, trees, seating, a wood fire oven and spa. Only 2kms from Lake Balaton.

  It is an interesting location, right across a mill stream from the old castle on the lake. The Eszterhazy Palace is around the corner, but it is not open and in need of much renovation. The hotel is right next to the lake, which has an excellent walking path. Boating is available, but we did not have time. The breakfast room was in a beautiful... hva folk sier » vaulted cellar, and we were offered fresh-cooked cheese omelets. There did not appear to be other restaurants close by, but we had a very nice dinne - Great location.We loved Tata. We were on the first floor and both of our rooms were large. We enjoyed several wonderful meals at the restaurant.
