We came to visit Santorini at its last days of tourist season (end of October) and decided to stay in Oia as it's considered the most beautiful town of Santorini, although it's a little further out compare with Fira. We were lucky to stay at Rimida Villas, it located outskirt of Oia, with a view of the whole town, we had seen a great sunset right outside our door one evening. This is a fantastic boutique hotel located at the highest point of the caldera with breathtaking views - the best in Santorini. Position perfect it is just a few minutes walk to the shops and cafes of FIra yet away from the noise. Everything was perfect. I felt the greek hospitality in this hotel. When we arrived at the airport there was a car waiting for us (and it is complimentary). If you do not like something in this hotel it will change in hours because the staff, the view, the breakfast and everything will make you feel the most important person ever. It is only a few blocks from the bus station, which is convenient. We

We stayed at the Honeymoon Suite (who says that you can only book those when you're on honeymoon ;), so the steps were not an issue (the lift goes almost all the way down to the suite). Other reasons to book this suite: Large terrace overlooking the caldera (probably one of the best terracces in Fira!), great big bed in its own little "cave" - and there is a whirlpool in the bathroom.
