  We went as couple with a 3 year old son. It's a fantastic hotel. Super clean. Very welcoming staff without being annoying. Great installations. Fantastic sea and mountain view. Great location on Eubeia near to very important greek archeological sites (Eretria) and just at 80 Km from Athens. It was given to us within a common space a large room with a couple's bed and a - Large suite of two rooms, huge balcony with wonderful view. Very friendly staff, good breakfast. Very good place to use as a base for exploring Evia and Attica, 100 km from the airport (about 1 hour by car). Within 15 days we stayed here, we travelled around almost all Evia (except the northern end), three times were to Athens and even visited Meteora monasteries 320 km away.   My stay at the Karystion Hotel was great. The staff was incredibly gentle and kind with us, the rooms clean and confortable, and even the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel is placed over a nice beach and very close to the village and the museum.   It's a lovely place and the staff is really good. Being a family business, one can easily sense the greek hospitality. The room was really big and comfortable and the balcony was also big enough for someone to enjoy their morning coffee or tea while watching the whole area of Karystos. Generally, it was a good choice!
