  The two storey maisonette we stayed in was amazing. Very well furnished and modern equipment. It has everything a family needs for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Host family was friendly and hospitable to us . It has a very good view of the Libyan Sea and lot of green around the maisonette.   A really nice place for a relaxed vacation. Service is excellent, and the places really feels out of the way of regular tourism. A really charming "taberna" closeby serves really tasty food. The waitress/cook was a charming elderly woman (who doesn't speak english, but that was all the more fun). The view from the place is great. There is a small s... hva folk sier » hop on the ground where you can get some groceries - The facilities, the service, the friendliness of the owner, the atmosphere, the location, all are exceptional. The owner maintains a small store with basic supplies on the compound, which is very convenient considering that the ~30 people settlement is a long way from places with shops and does not offer any reasonable supply. The place is definitely worth driving the narrow road up to it.

The manager Stefanos, two sons and a - Excellent location, great staff whose attention to detail and desire to please was second to none! Superb breakfasts with lots of choice and extras like the small pancakes deep fried and served with honey and sesame seeds - delicious. Meals in the restaurant were fantastic, again with lots of extras and a new dessert to sample every day. The staff were very well trained, courteous and took the time to talk.   Modern, nicely furnished villa in a quiet location with great views and yet close (by car) to shops, restaurants and beaches. There is an attractive open air restaurant/bar, but it was not operating (at the end of September) which was a bit disappointing.   We picked the Crete to spend the end of our visit to Greece relaxing and enjoying the beach. The cove beaches and day beds were the reason we choose Knossos Beach Bungalows & Suites. Upon our arrival there was a glitch with our rooms but it was fixed and the rest of our stay was fine. We had dinner at the Swell Restaurant and it was fantastic.... hva folk sier » We picked the breakfast only option and the hotels breakfast was extensive and changed enough each day to keep it interesting. The hotel has two cove - - the beach was amazing - beach facilities very nice -staff is v good especially beach bar employee - hotel location -the moved us the next day to better location rooms abd right close to our children room .
