Moreover, ever - Upon booking, I had requested a non-smoking room on a higher floor. When we checked in, we were given a room on a second floor that was a smoking room where everything was scented with nicotine. However the hotel were happy to accommodate us with this change when we checked in. The doors are double to the balcony which is good for the busy street. The non-smoking rooms are clean; however keep your bathroom door shut as the smell of nicotine can come up through the vents of other rooms. The brea

  We chose to stay at Phidias Piraeus because we needed a hotel close to the port seeing we were taking a ferry at 7:25 am. Well they were wonderful! First, we got there early from our other location and we needed to get our rental car back to downtown Athens. They had no problem in letting us leave our luggage there while we took our car back. We were welcomed with a small bottle of wine and given advice about local restaurants and shops. The hotel is located in a nice safe part of Piraeus, near the marina, shops and many restaurants.   Great facilities for the price, great location, and friendly staff! I was thankful for the air conditioner, cable tv, and great breakfast! - It was close to the train station, clean, had what I needed. I liked that they gave me a discount as I was travelling on my own and staying in a double room.
