  This is a youth hostel but it is 5 star. The place was immaculate. I have stayed in Hiltons all over the world. This accommodation is up there with any of them. Reasonably priced. We stayed here for Schalke v Chelsea game on the 22nd October 2013 for 3 nights. 10 min walk to Bochum main railway station then 17 mins on train to the veltins arena. 2... hva folk sier » min walk to the Bermuda Triangle night life. I've been to Germany many times. Bochum is one of the best towns I've been to. We booked security car pa - Walking distance to main railway station. Room was clean and well-maintained. Decent breakfast provided.

  it's a youth hostel in name but its more like a hotel. It's very clean, modern and spacious. The general decor is tasteful and it's quiet. It has 7 floors. The buffet style breakfast is simple but very nice. The room was nice and comfy. At night I couldn't hear other guests or noise from the street. It was good value for money and well located. It... hva folk sier » s across the river so to go to the city centre it's a 15 minute walk across the bridge. In the area around the hostel there are restaurants and some b - I was very surprised by this hotel! I was attending a conference and all hotels were fully booked in Cologne so the only fair option was this hotel. I was expecting a terrible hostel but actually I got a nice and spacious room with a view to the cathedral!!! The room was simple but very clean with a comfortable shower and wc. I highly recommend if you want a great location in Koln for a very good price. Staff was great, breakfast simple. The building is also new. Ask for room 703!
