Absolutely excellent hotel, which is definitely on 5 stars level, helpful staff, ideally clean and nice designed rooms. Generally, the hotel was much better than expected to be.
If I'll be again in Berlin, I'd stay there again and highly recommend this hotel for others.

Excellent location, <5 min walk to Gendarmenmarkt and 5min walk to German Dome. Closest metro stop is Hausvoigtel which is on a great line and can take you (without changing lines) to the Zoo or Ku-damm (shopping area). Wifi is free, stable, and reasonably fast. Hotel rooms are very well appointed and smart. Some great dining options closeby like Chipps for breakfast. All in all would stay again - really a nice hotel.

The location is in the center of the city, the room and the hotel facilities were in high level, and the staff was very nice. - The service was exceptionally good. When we ordered room service, out food came relatively fast and was delicious.

We had a problem with our room (it was smelling smoke) and people from
reception had a quick and nice reaction, they changed our room, thing
that we appreciate a lot. Breakfast is quite good with a german touch
(muesli, german delicatessen and german cheeses, german bread).
This is a really confortable hotel (beds and comforters...).

The staff was very helpful in providing excellent restaurant recommendations within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel was situated within walking distance of Museum Island and the Nikolaiviertel so sightseeing was easy. Having a subway station across the street gave us convenient access to the rest of Berlin.

Excellent location, within walking distance of many places of interest. Stasi exhibition, Topography of Terror, Checkpoint Charlie, all in the immediate vicinity. Clean, comfy beds, quiet location but only minutes away from fantastic Christamas market at Gendarme Market.
Good mix of clientel young, kids, mature, business etc. Checkpoint Charlie about 200yds away. Amazing chocolate shop around corner.
Staff were friendly and always helpful.
The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, great choice. Healthy fruit and cereals to bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. Ham, cheeses croissants, smoked salmon, toast, cakes etc. etc. Great location. Lisa helped

As noted, the rooms are small; however, they are well designed in that there are nooks and crannies as well as hooks that help keep everything organized and handy.
The location is excellent, around the corner from the Spittelmarkt U-bahn station. There are eateries near the station--a bakery, konditorei and bierstube restaurant. Hotel was walking distance to most of the sights. Once you find the hotel it is easy to find your way back. The difficulty was by car locating the hotel and how to drive there. The entrance is not on a main road but on a tiny 1-way street that runs between 2 main roads. A friend who grew up in Berlin was driving me and we circled a few times before spotting the entrance to the hotel. I'm sure a taxi driver would have no trouble locating it. Lots of shops nearby as well as a train station.
