New owner, Peter, very friendly and informed. Room was beautifully remodeled with fabulous view of Lake Hopfensee and mountains in background. Took dry sauna in lower level and other amenities are being developed for spa like experience there as well. Everything; wonderful accommodation with a terrific view, in a nice little village, just far enough from Fussen to be away from the crowds of tourists.Great restaurant right across the road for dinner, and a wonderful breakfast in a beautiful location at the hotel. Highly recommended.

Great hotel in a beautiful location, overlooking the lake! The room was lovely - beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Kitchenette in the apartment which was a bonus, including dishwasher. You get a "Fussen Card" during your stay, which gives you free public transport and a discount on your castle tickets. The hotel is easy to get to, a 5-10 min drive or 15min bus ride from Fussen. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel (Strandbad Hopfensee) where you can get bus 56 which comes eve

We had a very good and reasonably priced dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet (included in our room rate) was one of the best that we had during our trip. Onsite parking is in the back of the hotel. Our family room was large, very comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the town square and the mountains. The hotel has a bakery as a storefront and an excellent restaurant. Breakfast was very generous and excellent.
