Résidence Le Hameau is situated in Saint François Longchamp ski resort, at an altitude of 1650 metres in the Maurienne Valley. It offers self-catering apartments in mountain-style chalets with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Each apartment has 1 bedroom, a living room and a bathroom. There is an open kitchen including a dishwasher, an oven or microwave and a coffee-maker. Each apartment also has a balcony. Guests have free access to the residence’s outdoor swimming pool in warmer months. Shops are within a 10-minute walk. Guests can also go to the Forum des Eaux Bernard Hinault for spa treatments and the fitness centre. Résidence Le Hameau is 10 km from Saint-Avre –la-Chambre Train Station and 90 km from Chambéry Airport. Summer activities at the resort include tennis, mini golf, paragliding and cycling. The residence provides free private parking and Wi-Fi access is available at an extra charge.

Spacious room. No included linen, towels, or soap, which is not mentioned anywhere in the description (July 2013). Staff available on phone only and not helpful when I rang them. Had to sleep on mattress and drip dry after soapless shower. Location on map and gps coordinates wrong (July 2013) meant I had to spend an extra hour making phone calls and visiting tourist office to find the place.
