The situation where the hotel is is really great so close to the sea and it has a carparking also behind the hotel for a few cars. My father and I we had two rooms with oceanview, wonderful! Very good hotel at an excellent location by a water front with an interesing history behind (one of D-Day landing beaches). Very good restaurant serving great sea food (especially fresh oysters and lobsters). The hotel building is charming, old-fashioned but rooms have everything one needs. Good price/quality ratio.

It was a delightful 5 night stay at a good price. Quaint village and
beautiful hotel in quiet garden setting. Nice room though 3 stories of
stairs to climb. Host and hostess were wonderful and so helpful though
limited in English. Breakfast was delicious each morning and so

This was a great B&B. Ryes is a very small country town in Normandy but it is central to all the D-Day sights (most are within 1 hour drive) and you can go to a nearby town on Gold Beach for great restaurants by the sea. The owner is very friendly and the rooms are well appointed.

Such friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Very peaceful location apart from the duck that woke me up at 5.a.m. Tuesday morning quacking very loudly. Would definitely book again. - Le Chanteclair is a great find! It is within walking distance of themain section of town and the management is very friendly and easy toapproach. I highly recommend it

get in contact with tha host at the arrival, but then everything worked

very beautiful hotel! The room is like a 'private' smsll apartment. Cleanliness is great. You have also a private parking, very useful during the day, when Arromanches is starting to become croudy.
The breakfast was essential but really good.
I want to come back to this hotel one day....Arromanches os a place full of history and with a particular atmosphere!

The location was excellent. The beach is around the corner and there's a grocery store, bakery, and amazing (expensive, though) restaurant just a block away. Our teen children loved the pool and the beach is beautiful. On-site parking is secure and free. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again. -

The front desk staff spoke english and were very helpful. We arrived
very late and had not eaten for quite sometime, the chef was still there
as the restaurant was closed; they made us food and brought to our room.

This is our third stay at Hôtel d'Arromanches Pappagall and it gets
better each time. We will be back again. My family of four booked two
rooms for two nights in late February 2013. The rooms were comfortable,

The owners were very friendly and took great care of us from the moment we walked in the door. The hotel is right at the heart of town, near the museum, beach, a great patisserie, shops and restaurants. Why go to another restaurant, though, when the best dinner we had on our trip was courtesy of the chef the inn hired for their restaurant. Chef Amaury is fantastic. The town is in a great location if you intend to go to Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery.

The fact the accommodation is literally a stones throw from Gold beach. Very thought provoking area, all D-day memorial sights are close by and kept beautiful and very busy.
