The superb level of service of the owners,the comfort and quality of the bedrooms and the air condoning during the heat wave conditions during of visit.
The set menu evening dinners were by far the best we had on our three week visit to France
Our original booking was two days, we extended to three then continued our journey. We returned three days later as we could not find any other hotel that offered the ambience and quality of service as Le Chateau de L'Abbaye.

Used the Martinet as an overnight stop on our cycle touring holiday. Bouin is a quiet village with an interesting church and the Martinet is the perfect place to relax. Very cozy place with Michelin recommended restaurant. Host made an upgrade for free and spacey room was beautiful: large bed and windows faced with court on one side and old church on the other. Perfect for the medieval village fun. There is a peninsula with best potato in France not so far away.

Glimrende parkering - Hotellet lå i sentrum. Fin parkering til leiebilen vår, men når vi kom hjem sent på kvelden måtte vi likevel parkere på gaten (portene var stengt). Vi var på hotellet veldig kort tid, så jeg kan ikke uttale meg om service eller restaurantmat. Frokosten var grei, men ikke noe mer.
