Tasteful decor, comfortable bed, good-sized bedroom. Excellent breakfast with lovely fresh fruit and a good selection of other items. We had a room at the side, looking out over the river which is probably better than a room facing the sea as it is quieter and there is always something to watch.

2-Hotel is in a fantastic medieval village that is still inhabited and sits atop a high hill (or small mountain) with a view of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding mountains.
3-Fabulous gourmet restaurant with Chef Stephan. Dinner is not to be missed! Try the goat cheese spread, and steak or chicken dinners. Never had a bad meal.
4-Walking through picturesque medieval village and taking pictures.

Friendly hotel, everyone seemed rather older than us (we're mid 30s), so was very quiet. Parking was good, even though it was an extra 19€, not bad for Cannes. Pool was nice and main shopping is literally round the corner and croisette 3 minute walk. -

The location of the hotel is absolutely great : looking over the sea, sea across the road in 10 meters, beachers to the right ( 50m), castle and Picasso Museum - to the left - 200-300 m along the promenade with GREAT views. Being November and all, was still a nice setting and location. Just a shirt stroll to Antibes, market, and bars and restaurants. Staff really friendly and helpful with helping with my baggage and parking the car. My room didn't face the sea and was rather dark, but was very cleans and and oversized, like a small apartment. Fridge was stocked with drinks at very over inflated prices but hey that's France.

I spend over 150 nights per year in hotels around Europe, but I'll always remember the 9 days I stayed at La Pérouse in early January 2009. The paroramic view from my room (504) onto the Baie des Anges, the city below and snow-capped mountains around was simply spectacular. Very courteous and helpful staff with unassuming manners. - Nice candies :)

I have stayed in the Excelsior several times and as I have friends who live in Nice and I can visit them easier as I now know my way to their house. I first stayed in the Excelsior with the Travel Department. I found both the rates and the location were good. - Location was very convenient. It was close to shopping, eating and sights to see.
