  We were travelling south and this seemed like a nice spot to rest up. Hotel was gorgeous, staff excellent and the restaurant next door magnificent. Food was delicious and staff fabulous. Yes meal was a bit expensive but the setting and staff made our stay. This is a restaurant to dress up for. Smart casual at minimum!   What an amazing hotel and easy to find in Nantes. The Hotel used to be a Courthouse but has been renovated to a high standard with many original features intact. Wonderful architecture. Great entrance lobby and very helpful staff. Our room was a junior suite and was worth every penny. Comfy bed, lots of toiletries and a Nespresso Coffee Machine, b... hva folk sier » liss. We dined in the beautiful designed restaurant where the food and wine were excellent. Location was good as it was near the numerous bars and res - We have traveled extensively to many countries during our lifetime.This hotel experience was one of the very best. Notably, the initial reception by Mlle Emaline and the other staff members who responded to our numerous queries and provided exceptional guidance during our four day visit. The fantastic design of the hotel with a spa, its central location in Nantes, and quiet, luxurious and extremely comfortable rooms and facilities fit for a King. It was a dream come true.   Very friendly and serviceminded staff :-) I realy like to come back to Hotel de France. Good restaurant for dinner. - The staff were most friendly and helpful. The loaction of the hotel was so central and perfect for a weekend break which being right bang in the centre of the shopping district. The room was so spacious and clean and I was impressed... hva folk sier » with the bathroom samples and generous supply of towels and extra pillows. The view over Graslin square was lovely. The Cafe La Cigale is worth a visit. - Friendly and helpful staff, central location, pretty good value
