We arrived late, send a mail and we were received nicely. It was immaculate, clean, comfortable. (The bathroom contractor worked wonders!) Breakfast was good, home made bread, confiture, pain, croissants, home made yoghurt. It had a bit of a hunting lodge feel in the dining area, but the room is contemporary. I saw a nice pool and outside area. I think it will be heaven for younger kids with the meadow, trees, and small river nearby. And a nice (shaded) terras for the parents ;).
alle vurderinger » This B&B is in a quiet and beautiful wooded area about a 15 minute drive to Chambord castle. The grounds include a pool which we took advantage of shortly after our arrival. The food was terrific, with much of it homemade including the yogurt and jams. We also had a fantastic dinner our first evening there with six other guests. Our room was comfortable and the ensuite bathroom modern and well equipped. We enjoyed the two nights we stayed there. Very nice clean room in country style, good place to spend your free time, in the woods and with swimming pool. Close to castles. Very good price to service factor. Owners very friendly and they provide us very helpful information. Wonderful accommodations and very friendly owners. Food was great. Natalie makes her own croissants, yogurt and jams. Dinner was excellent as well in very comfy surroundings. Beautiful surroundings. Traditional setting in rural location. Owners friendly and informative. Enjoyed communal evening meal with other guests. Lovely breakfast with home-made produce. Natalie was very friendly and a great host. Really enjoyed dinners. Superb clean pool and great access to cycling paths and loire river and chateax. Lots of space. Nathalie was an amazing host. She made is feel very welcome with her help, and wonderful food. I'd stay here again and recommend her to my friends. The hosts made us feel at home. The décor was impeccable; many antiques beautifully decorated rooms. Food was home cooked and delicious. I love this B&B. It's in a deep forest and near to Chamber Chateau. The male host is good at preparing of animal specimens. Typical French country home. Grounds large and well maintained. Great owners and food. Very reasonable. Location, quietness, character. Desing of the rooms, environment, cleanliness. Errr...Maybe the communal breakfast, but we were alone. Just the hike up the stairs to our room. Curtain instead of door in bathroom. Not one thing. Nothing. There was no restaurant. A decent evening meal was provided ,with wine, around a communal table but this arrangement would not suit everybody. This fact should be made clear when you make a reservation. The owner Nathalie Harrault is extremely surly and bítter, especially with children.
