This is an apartment on the top floor of a large house in central Carcassonne. It is placed perfectly between the best parts of both the old Cite and the newer Bastide and as such a car is largely superfluous unless you intend to visit the surrounding areas. It is comfortable, very well equipped and ideal for self-catering with the bonus of a balcony with stunning views. Perfect location for visiting the old city of Carcassonne and the view from the terrace is second to none and very romantic. Nice way of immersing oneself into the French way of life with everything walkable within the old and new cities. River Aude and Canal du Midi both close by and pleasant for walking beside.
alle vurderinger » An excellent welcome by a fantastic English speaking host, beautiful, well equipped and maintained accommodation in a superb location between the old and new cities. On the third floor ,(no lift), so splendid view of the Medieval City from the balcony. Lovely apartment in great location. Great facilities. Close to the cité and shops. Beautiful view from the terrace. Very helpful owner. Would highly recommend. Three flights up without a lift so not for someone with difficulty climbing!. Our contact was Isabel who was extremely helpful. Very modern apartment with all new facilities in an old building so the stairs are a bit arduous but once your at the apartment its worth it. Wonderful views of le cite. The flat was comfortable and spacious for two,, as well as very conveniently located halfway between the town and the cite.. The view of the cite was outstanding. The ladies in charge were incredibly helpful. Isabelle was great, friendly, and very helpful. The view of the castle from the top floor was excellent. Despite the absence of a lift, we managed okay .Plenty of little retail shops nearby. The view of the old cite is unparalleled in Carcassone. isabelle was very helpful in letting us in and welcoming us to the apartment which is elegantly decorated. fabulous view of castle from balcony easily walkable to both old and new city . Isabelle very helpful even took us to the airport. Location Vue from the balcony Space. It has great view from the balcony. The view from t the balcony is rare and beautiful, it's easy to be entranced. The queen sized bed is great!. - Centric, easy to go to new and old city - beautiful view on the Old City from the terras. I suppose the steep stair climb would be the only bugbear so don't go if you cannot cope with them. Because of the great location you accessed the flat via three flights of stairs so it would be unsuitable for people with mobility problems. Entrance particularly top floor needs some attention. Once in the flat however everything is fine. Fridge ice compartment unable to close No internet connection although advertised as available wifi. The staff promised to provide a hair dryer to us but did not do so. Not much! The bathroom is great for on person in the room at once. Floating floors are efficient but squeak. The fitout has nothing luxurious, like salt & pepper, dish washing detergent - but that is reflected in the price?. - Had set up time for key reception and they came more than half hour too late - sleepingsofa is NOT for adults, and even for kids really poor and too thin matrass - noisy doors, floor - bathroom really small and shower open w/o door - Wifi was not working, maybe tomorrow it will work again...but of course that does not go by itself.
