  Inside room was quiet but had a view of the parking. Outside room had a great view of the market on the street but was noisy all night. Great location as the weekend marked was just outside. Close walking to everything, even the bus station is close but not with suitcases. English spoken by the owner. Plenty of TV channels. Great view of town from... hva folk sier » the roof. Front desk found us a great tour guide for a day trip. Small map provided at front desk. Room was spacious enough. - The staff was very helpful although we did struggle a bit with my limited Spanish and their limited English. It is centrally located and right next to the Otavalo market. The breakfast was very good. Truly excellent value for the $.

  Our second stay at Rose Cottage didn’t disappoint. Had a suite this time, cosy and private and opening up to a great view of the mountains. Not just one building but actually like a little hamlet sitting on the hilltop overlooking Otavalo. Lots of shady nooks to relax in and just enjoy the vista. A pleasant walk (hike) into town but Otavalo is w... hva folk sier » orth it, especially the market, but get a cab back. Only $3!! Eating in was great value with an interesting mix of visitors to swap stories with over - The spectacular location with the stunning views, and proximity to Otavalo. All the buildings were picturesque and full of character. The staff were helpful and friendly, and we really enjoyed the food. The walks in the vicinity were great, and there were many available activities close by. Our stay at Rose Cottage was definitely a highlight of our holiday, and we would recommend the Hosteria to friends. We enjoyed meeting, and socialising with, other guests.
